16 women lost their jobs overnight at the Hietzing Clinic in Vienna. 14 of them, however, oppose the termination without notice.
The hospital management accuses the house workers of violating the corona rules at a colleague’s farewell party on February 27. Photos of the retirement party ended up on Facebook. The women could be seen on it without a mask or distance, writes “Crown”.
Intended break without alcohol
The former employees see the situation differently and file a lawsuit. It was not an actual festival, but their intended break. They would have eaten and consumed soft drinks during this time. In addition, it was not clear to them that a celebration was not allowed because nobody knew exactly which Corona regulations would apply.
Two of the 16 women agreed to a friendly solution, the other 14 are hoping for a court decision in their favor. “I worked there for 30 years, and now, at 56, I’m without a job,” said one of the women in front of the judge. The trial continues on June 16. (man)
