What if the magic of the Coupe de France worked? The entire town of Revel in Haute-Garonne is hoping for a miracle. Their club faces the Parisian ogre this Sunday at 8:45 p.m. in the round of 32 of the competition. Six divisions separate US Revel and PSG. For the occasion, the players will receive the stars of Ligue 1 in the Castres Olympique stadium. Since the draw, an entire city has been living to the rhythm of this future match.
This Saturday was the last training session open to the public at US Revel and hundreds of people came to attend to encourage the players one last time. For the occasion, smoke bombs, red and black flags and fireworks were brought out. Even though a galaxy separates the two clubs, the hope of seeing a miracle happen resides in the hearts of the supporters. “It’s already happened that little ones win against big ones, even if it’s PSG we can win,” a supporter of Tom Thumb told Europe 1.
“Show that we have ambitions”
For the US Revel coach, the objective is to succeed in holding the Parisians in good stead. “We know that we are going to be pushed around like in a washing machine for 90 minutes. The idea is to show that we have ambitions and a game plan and above all to show a very good image of our club,” announces the technician.
