Sat.1 is looking for 100 new candidates who will determine the winner of 99,ooo euros from their ranks. The station has it Application phase for the fifth season of his game show “99 – Who beats them all?” started. Attentive TV viewers might notice something straight away. The format has a new name. In the last four rounds the program ran under the title “99 – One beats them all!”. So the gender colon is history.

Nothing seems to have changed in terms of mode. 100 candidates compete against each other in harmless to tricky games of skill. Whoever completes the task advances. The last one standing has to go. It goes on like this for 99 games. Whoever defeats all 99 competitors and remains standing wins 99,000 euros.

Candidates between 18 and 90 years old wanted

People aged 18 to, no, not 99, can apply. According to the casting call, the limit is at least 90 years of age. The oldest participant so far was 81 years old. Recordings for the new episodes will take place between May 23rd and June 7th. Applicants should be available throughout the entire period. Filming location of “99 – Who Beats Them All?” are the Netherlands.

A broadcast date for the fifth season of “99” is not yet known. Three of the previous seasons were shown on Sat.1 in the summer. The first two rounds took place on Fridays at 8:15 p.m. For the last two seasons, the show moved to Mondays. The ratings for the Monday editions fell significantly compared to the Friday episodes.

“99 – Who beats them all?” is commented on. Since the first season by Florian Schmidt-Sommerfeld, 34. Melissa Khalaj, 34, has been sitting at his side since season two. Johanna Klum, 43, moderated the first season.
