Announced by Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, lead game designer of League of Legends, on Twitter, Rammus should be entitled to several buffs during patch 12.15, especially on his ultimate. We are talking here aboutlower cooldown at all ranks (except at level three), of a increased base range from 600 to 800an increase in 200 dash speed and D’an increase in range.
Notable: We’re happy with where Yi has ended up across skill brackets, but he’s too strong across the board.

Most buffs are targeted at repeatability over burst. Other changes are small swings as we attempt to stabilize for playoffs and worlds. pic.twitter.com/riILtvEFZT

Rammus is currently a champion unpopular with a pick rate of 2.7% and a ban rate of 5.8%. Also, in terms of jungle win rate, the armored armadillo only placesin 33rd position out of 46 junglers. The developer explained about its improvements that some players don’t understand.
Rammus went significantly down from 12.14; he was performing in regular play on the previous patch, but struggles to take objectives on the new patch. Instead of buffing that however, we wanted to put power in his gank assist instead as that feels closer to his intended niche.

“Rammus has seen a significant drop from 12.14; he was good in normal play in the previous patch, but he’s struggling to take objectives in the new patch. Instead of improving it, we preferred to strengthen its gank assistance, which is closer to its niche.
The objective here is therefore, like Master Yi’s recent buff, to put the LoL armadillo back on the front of the stage by strengthening his gank abilities in order to make it more viable at all levels. Patch 12.15 is expected to go live on Wednesday, August 10.
