The drama took place in Poissy (Yvelines). The Parisian reveals thata four-month-old baby was mown down by a motorist around 6.30 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2021. According to the first elements echoed by our colleagues, the mother of the child was crossing on a pedestrian crossing. The driver then mowed down the stroller, arriving at high speed on the pedestrian pass. He immediately fled. Tuesday November 2, 2021, Le Figaro nevertheless indicates that the suspect surrendered himself at the police station this Tuesday morning.
According to Le Figaro, the motorist in question was driving a BMW. It was around five in the morning that he arrived at the police station to admit his responsibility for the accident which occurred at the intersection of avenue du Maréchal-Lyautey and avenue de Maladrerie. The victim, a four month old baby boy, was transported to Necker Hospital in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. He is between life and death at the time of this writing. The vital prognosis of the young victim would be engaged, as revealed by BFMTV.

The mayor of Poissy, Karl Olive, interviewed by CNews, gave further information on the incident that took place in his town: “A person probably ran a red light with a BMW in Poissy”, he reported. The four month old infant is currently in Necker Hospital with a cranial fracture and is aware, he said. On the air, Karl Olive then called “the driver to take the direction of the police station to report himself”.
