The time has come, Gran Turismo 7 will soon receive a new update, with some great new features to come. We even got a first glimpse of it
Gran Turismo 7 is a must-have in automotive simulation. In our columns, we gave it a score of 8/10, praising its visuals and its massive content. Moreover, the latter is regularly inflated by Polyphony Digital. The studio is taking good care of its latest addition, and it’s nice to see. And precisely on this subject, we had news on the next update which will be deployed this week. It looks rather massive, and the preview we had of it makes our mouths water.
Gran Turismo 7 soon welcomes a new update
For once, Kazunori Yamauchi has published a teaser allowing us to take a look at the changes to come with the new patch. However, this time there is no question of showing static vehicles in the shadows. Indeed, three cars appear on the screen, and even if they do not move, we are treated to some beautiful lighting effects. This makes it easier to identify them. But then, what do we have in store for this update? Well, some pretty interesting new features, but above all, a potential big surprise for Gran Turismo 7.
First, we have what appears to be the Renault 4 at the bottom left. An old model whose production extended from 1961 to 1994. A great response to the Citroen 2CV, and a true classic that we will be able to appreciate in Gran Turismo 7. Once again, we base ourselves on the clues of the video, and it should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. That said, for this car, that leaves little room for doubt. Then, we have the Audi TT, which we had already seen in other games in the series, and here, it is obviously a second generation model.
Finally, at the top, it may be the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, but which model? VIII or IX? Obviously, we are dealing with the Evo IX, as evidenced by the lights which quickly show us part of the license plate. That’s it for the teaser, but we must keep in mind that we are facing a simple piece of the new update for Gran Turismo 7. This will bring other changes in the balance, and what we thought we understood, it could be colossal.
A birthday full of new things?
Indeed, it’s almost the second anniversary of Gran Turismo 7. The update should normally arrive before this new candle, and that’s what’s exciting. Last year, the game’s anniversary patch was really big. As a result, we expect similar treatment in the days to come. Of course, this is just a hypothesis, but it seems pretty logical. Therefore, even if we don’t have the full details of the update, we can already prepare for something exciting. We will soon have the answer to this question, and we will keep you informed of what happens.
