A young peacekeeper was seriously injured on Saturday evening in Amilly (Loiret) after being hit by a two-wheeled driver, who is actively wanted, the Montargis prosecutor’s office said on Sunday. Saturday around 11:00 p.m., in the agglomeration of Montargis, “police officials wanted to carry out the check of the driver of a scooter who was without a helmet”, declared the public prosecutor of Montargis Loïc Abrial in a press release.

“The driver of the two-wheeler refused to submit to the checks and continued on his way. According to the first elements of the investigation, he would have carried out a maneuver with his scooter causing him to return in the direction of the police. On this occasion, he would have hit a police officer, a trainee peacekeeper”, continues the prosecutor.
