Slack reduces its activity on X.com

Since the takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk and its transformation into X.com a few months ago, many professionals have decided to reduce their activities on the platform, or even leave it. This is the case for certain media, certain celebrities, but also certain brands and other companies. Today, Slack is announcing a change in its activities on the network.

Note that this decision does not signify the definitive departure of X.com on the part of Slack, since the group quickly made it clear that it would continue to disseminate information on its main account (@SlackHQ) while inviting users to contact customer service by email if necessary.

Slack directs users to an app status site

“ We have made the decision to remove the SlackStatus account in order to consolidate our communications around incidents and focus our resources on those that are most used by our customers “, explained Kevin Albers, vice president of customer experience at Slack, to The Verge.

Since its creation in 2014, the Slack Status account has been a useful source of information on ongoing issues with the platform, but also on potential issues identified directly by the company. From now on, information relating to incidents concerning Slack will be found directly on a site dedicated to Slack status.
