King’s wife Camilla skips another appointment

King consort Camilla continues to recover from her corona infection. husband of King Charles III. therefore made an appointment alone.
King’s wife Camilla (75) tested positive for the corona virus on February 13. Since then, the 75-year-old has recovered from the infection and canceled some appointments. Also on Wednesday (February 22) King Charles III mastered. (74) an official appearance alone.
Camilla has recovered from last week’s illness “excellently,” said a spokesman for the royal family according to the broadcaster Sky. “However, to allow for additional preparations ahead of Thursday’s literature reception and other commitments, Her Majesty will not be attending the Felix Project visit.” The postponed reception on Thursday is to take place at Clarence House.
Charles visited the Felix Project, a charity that fights food waste and food poverty by redistributing surplus food from supermarkets to charities, alone after his wife’s cancellation on Wednesday. The monarch visited according to the Instagram post by The Felix Project the organization’s warehouse and kitchens, where volunteers prepared and packed meals.
“Of course we are saddened that the Queen Consort is not here today,” said Charlotte Hill, executive director of the organization, at the appointment. “But we hope she will have the opportunity to visit a Felix Project depot in the future and we wish her all the best in her recovery.”
Not the first corona infection
Camilla initially postponed a visit to the West Midlands on February 14 at short notice. The king’s wife was suffering from a “seasonal illness,” it said. Finally, on February 13, the palace announced that Camilla had tested positive for an infection with the coronavirus. The British BBC reported, among other things, that she was struggling with cold symptoms. She rests and is in a good mood despite the illness.
In February 2022, almost exactly a year ago, Camilla was infected with the corona virus for the first time. She had already received her booster vaccination back then – as had Charles, who had also been infected.
