After its podium in the German league, No Limit Gaming stops its CS:GO team

End clap for the Austrian structure No Limit Gaming, which has just won a podium in the German league, the ESL Meisterschaft, at the end of the Spring Split 2022 on CS:GO. The organization had narrowly missed qualifying for the ESL Pro League Conference Season 16, dominating a good part of its season, and unfortunately falling in the final of the upper bracket and then of the lower bracket. After four seasons, management decided to release its roster, red, pdy, perX, maRky and OKOLICIOUZ.

To explain this rather brutal end, NLG ensures that the development of the national scene is not pronounced enough to hope for a future there. If the club specifies not to leave the German scene, the players will no longer be professional.

After three and a half successful years, we stop investing in the German CS:GO scene from June 30, 2020.

Unfortunately, the evolution observed on the German scene in recent years leaves us no other choice. The teams have invested millions of euros in the German scene, but the organizers are saving too much and do not seem to believe in the future of their own product.

We still plan to stay on stage and try to build a team for next season. However, we stop paying salaries to players.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past few years and been part of our journey: our many players and former team members, our sponsors and coaching staff, and many more.

It remains to be hoped that the professional national scene will eventually become viable again. Maybe then we will come back even stronger.

As a reminder, No Limit won several minor tournaments like the Legend Series WTA #1, the Absolute Masters Summer 2021 and finished on the podium of the last three splits of the ESL Meisterschaft. NLG had been eliminated in the round of 16 of the European qualifications for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
