In partnership with Legendary Television, AppleTV+
will continue the adventures of the Monsterverse’s most famous monster on the small screen.

This series Godzilla will indeed be an extension of the universe launched with the 2014 film.

Godzilla walks on the Apple

In 2014, Legendary launched Godzilla. The film directed by Gareth Edwards will mark the beginning of the Monsterverse, where the kaiju will then cross paths with other monsters and Titans in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and godzilla vs kong (2021). Today, Apple TV+ announces that a live-action series rooted in this universe is in the works.

Chris Black (Star Trek Enterprise) will be the showrunner, while at the creation, we will find Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) and Matt Fraction (known for the comics Hawkeye).

On the plot side, Apple simply reveals that it will take place after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans in San Francisco in the first film, which revealed the existence of these monsters to the world. We will follow a family during a journey that will reveal secrets and their links with the secret organization Monarch.
