A hard blow for Alain Chamfort for whom this performance was a real honor. Indeed, in 2019, the management of the Montpellier Opera contacted the singer with a very specific project: reinterpret his entire repertoire alongside the Orchestra. The artist is preparing for this great cultural event, but the health crisis has turned everything upside down. He is then forced to cancel his concert during the second confinement. The performance will then take place without an audience.
Alain Chamfort: “It’s a hidden dream”
This Alain Chamfort project is very important to it, as he confided to France Info : “It was magnificent. Me, I never hoped to be able to experience such a thing one day. When you’re a musician, it’s a hidden dream”, he confided, without hiding his stress about this big project : “It’s true that there is apprehension because this number of musicians is quite impressive. You can’t go wrong, you have no room for error because as much when you’re a small team with the musicians I’m used to working with”. Touching confidences for the one who unfortunately had to cancel his performance.
