Angelo Kelly celebrates Christmas in Germany. In an interview, he reveals what tradition his family has on the festive days.

Angelo Kelly & Family will not be spending Christmas in Ireland this year, but in Germany. For their fans, the title of their new album "Coming Home for Christmas" could not be more appropriate, because most Germans will probably spend the holidays at home because of the lockdown. "We always try to alternately celebrate a year at home in Ireland and then the next year in Germany with my wife Kira's family", Angelo Kelly (39) explains about his plans in an interview with the news agency spot on news. "This year it's Germany's turn again and we're looking forward to it."

For the singer and the family, the festival will take place "rather in a smaller circle". The Kellys are likely to keep a tradition this year as well: "In our house there is always a candle in the window in the front of the house, which is always on during the Christmas days to greet the coming of Jesus," says Angelo Kelly.

For Angelo Kelly, Christmas is "much more important" than New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve, the family "usually celebrates with lots of friends and lots of music". There is no cooking, "because we always make a huge buffet with all kinds of delicious things and lots of delicious things to drink". This year, however, the start of the new year will be very different. "But we only think about it a few days in advance. Christmas is much more important to us and we want to try to make it as beautiful as possible," emphasizes the 39-year-old.

Kelly said of his personal results for 2020: "The year is not over yet and nothing would surprise me anymore. That's why I don't want to say anything specific about it yet, but I don't think I'm alone if I said it's been a year It's been a pretty humble year. And that was nicely put. " And his resolutions for 2021? "Take good care of my family and concentrate more and more on the really important things."
