Animal cruelers in court – cats tied to sheds: fine

A 23-year-old had to answer for cruelty to animals on Tuesday. He was not finally sentenced to a partial fine of 9,000 euros at the Feldkirch regional court. In the course of his tortures, the man aimed primarily at helpless cats.

It came to the hearing at the Feldkirch regional court via detours. Because the 23-year-old’s apartment was only examined because he was suspected of an addictive substance abuse. But during this house search, a piece of rope was found. And with exactly such a rope, a cat was tied to a shed in the summer of 2018.In addition, there was also cat hair on the rope – as in the suspect’s panniers. In 2018 there was a noticeable number of tortures against cats in Lustenau. When the suspect moved away, the abuse ended too. Since the 23-year-old was also on trial for cruelty to animals, but was acquitted at the time, the judge saw the cruelty to animals this time as proven.
