A cat without fur and without eyes? How did that happen?
The fact that he has no fur is a peculiarity of his breed: the cat Jasper is a Sphynx cat that is born completely hairless. Therefore, this circumstance does not particularly bother him.
And how is it that he has no eyes?
This actually has a sad background: shortly after the owner Kelli adopted the cat from the animal shelter, an ulcer was found in his right eye that had to be surgically removed. Unfortunately, his other eye was also soon affected and had to be removed as well.
The poor animal! How terrible!
Yes, that's bad without question! Fortunately, Jasper has found an owner in Kelli who has remained loyal to him – and with whom he leads a damn good life despite everything.
That sounds like little consolation
Maybe so, but Kelli doesn't get the impression that Jasper wastes a lot of time grieving over his situation. On Instagram, she shows how much fun the two of them have in everyday life. And let's not forget: cats have superhuman perception with all of their senses. The loss of their eyes can by no means take away their joie de vivre.

Kelli is also very sure of this – and hopes to educate other people about animals who are still looking for a loving home. "A cat can also lead a happy and fulfilling life blindly," she told the portal "Buzzfeed". "If you're thinking about bringing an animal out of the shelter, maybe check out the less popular pets: those who are older or have a disability. They might be the best companions you have ever had."
