Novartis boss Vasant Narasimhan earned a little less last year than in the previous year. His total remuneration was CHF 11.2 million. In the previous year, the Novartis boss had received 12.7 million francs. His income from the variable long-term compensation plans was lower in 2021.
The entire Novartis Executive Board, including members who resigned during the year, was awarded total realized compensation of 56.6 million Swiss francs in the past year, compared to 58.8 million Swiss francs in 2020.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Jörg Reinhardt received CHF 3.8 million in 2021, as in previous years. A total of CHF 8.6 million was paid out to all members of the Board of Directors after CHF 8.7 million in the previous year.
