Apex Legends: PS5 and Xbox Series versions should arrive very soon

If you play Apex Legends on next-gen consoles and you’re expecting a boost in performance, you probably won’t have to wait too long.

Better looking and smoother callouts

The arrival of the next-gen version ofApex Legends is indeed only a matter of time since EA and Respawn Entertainment confirmed the thing a few months ago already. Thanks to a tweet from PlayStationSize (an account that reports PSN updates), we know that a PS5 version should be out soon. The game should also weigh 80 GB (without updates).

To clarify things, we are talking about a native PS5 version. Currently, on Sony’s latest console, the Battle Royale is only available in its PS4 version via backward compatibility. Thus, the announcement should be imminent, but we can also think that the studio wants to wait for the launch of the next season to make more noise. Of course, this means that an Xbox Series version should logically see the light of day at the same time as that of its competitor.

Finally, note that Respawn had also announced that cross-play would be available this year without further details.
