A terrible drama occurred last week in the courtyard of a primary school in Argenteuil (Val-d’Oise). An eight-year-old child fainted in front of his fellow students and could not be resuscitated.
The young boy, educated in CE2, was playing with his friends on Thursday noon, when he suddenly collapsed on the ground, reports Le Parisien. The extracurricular animators immediately took charge of the child and alerted the emergency services.
The town hall indicated that “the firefighters from the neighboring barracks quickly arrived on site. For an hour, a team from Samu tried to revive him ”. In vain, unfortunately.
A mother explained to our colleagues that her daughter “saw the boy fall to the ground”. “They rushed up to him with his comrades saying: wake up! She saw his hand shake but I think it was already too late ”.
An investigation to find the causes of death was opened, no pathology concerning the child being known.
An autopsy should be performed. At the same time, a psychological cell was opened. Teachers, parents and schoolchildren are particularly shocked. A pot was also launched to help the family of the young victim.
