(CercleFinance.com) – Arkema announces that it has finalized, on September 1, the acquisition of Polimeros Especiales, a Mexican producer of high-performance aqueous resins for markets such as paints, textiles or pressure-sensitive adhesives and construction .
The company is a key emulsion manufacturer in the region, with sales of around $40 million in 2021 and employing 230 people. The financial terms of the transaction are not specified.
Polimeros Especiales will strengthen Arkema’s position in high-growth markets, foster the development of more sustainable innovations among its key solvent-free technologies, and strengthen its presence in the US market.
