Aroma wax cubes – Irin takes off with a new fragrance in Salzburg

Hardly anyone in Austria knows wax scent cubes – yet. Irish-born Cait Hill now wants to make her socially acceptable in Austria.

“Many customers use the wax fragrance cubes as a wardrobe freshener. That’s actually not their function,” Cait Hill tells the “Krone”. The small colorful cubes are intended as a room fragrance that is melted over an aroma lamp. “I am Irish by birth. We’ve had these wax scent cubes for as long as I can remember,” says Cait. If Cait has her way, the cubes, which smell of fine perfume, should finally conquer Austria. Cait Hill came up with the idea of selling their own aroma cubes more out of necessity. She runs a nail salon in Salzburg and, as a body-related service provider, was hit hard by the corona lockdowns. “Somehow I still had to pay my employees,” she says. What should serve to save their own existence quickly drew wider circles. “Other operators of small shops also included my fragrance cubes in their range to bridge corona-related failures,” says Cait. “In the meantime, I’ve become a wholesaler, so to speak. And not just in Salzburg.” Almost 30 shops in Salzburg, Germany and even Italy are now selling Cait’s little fragrance wonders. The Irish woman has the cubes produced as a vegan soy wax variant, enriched with high-quality fragrances, from vetiver to leather to dark honey. It’s no wonder that many customers like to stock their wardrobes with it.
