(CercleFinance.com) – The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) announces that it has approved the increase in manufacturing capacity of Vaxzevria, the Covid vaccine developed by AstraZeneca.
Therefore, an existing manufacturing site operated by Universal Farma in Guadalajara (Spain) will add a 2nd production line for filling bottles.
This addition should make it possible to support the continuous supply of Vaxzevria, in particular to the Covax initiative, which organizes dose donations to the most disadvantaged countries.
