Shox is an old man. The French will be in his thirties next year and we can only salute his unusual longevity. Passed by many leading teams (LDLC, EnVyus, G2 Esports, Team Vitality), he had the opportunity to stock his trophy cabinet and to play a lot of Majors (16) … he has not missed a single one, which testifies to his great consistency at the highest level. But despite his advanced age, the French are still hungry and he will try to add a 2nd Major to his record (after the one won in 2014) with his new team.
The probability may appear relatively low, however, given that the veteran is joining Team Liquid, an NA team. If the region is suffering in the big tournaments against European or Russian teams, Team Liquid still enjoyed its period of glory in 2019. More in difficulty lately and very irregular, the team could greatly benefit from the stability brought by shox.
The first Frenchman in history at Team Liquid
Team Liquid is a North American structure, but it nevertheless has significant resources and does not hesitate to recruit internationally: s1mple (Ukraine), Fallen, TACO … (Brazil). But the recruitment of shox remains a great first, since before him no French had worn the team jersey on CS: GO. It remains to be seen whether the mayonnaise will be able to set quickly. Team Liquid has completely disrupted its roster and fans are hoping that this great upheaval will bear fruit.
Fallen, Grim and Stewie2K have indeed been placed on the transfer market and are currently listed as inactive. In addition to shox, the leaders signed the American oSee to replace them and we are still waiting for the third and last recruit of the transfer window.
