BANK OF AFRICA: 1ST BANK IN AFRICA CERTIFIED ACCORDING TO THE NEW STANDARD …

BANK OF AFRICA becomes the 1st ISO 45001 certified Bank in Morocco and on the African continent in the field of health, safety and well-being at work, following the certification audit by Bureau Veritas Certification.

It obtained ISO 14001 certifications for the environment in 2011, OHSAS 18001 in 2018 and ISO 50001 for energy in 2016.

This international certification process is part of the Group’s CSR commitment to its stakeholders on the central issue of “Relations / working conditions”, aimed at creating a safe working environment to prevent risks related to the Health and Safety of any person present in their workplaces.

Faced with the pandemic, the Group has in fact strengthened the guidelines adopted in favor of the prevention of day-to-day risks to the health of its working forces, its customers and service providers. Thus, taking into account or even anticipating legal and regulatory provisions on health and safety are now systematic.

The International Standard ISO 45001, the only reference in terms of occupational health and safety in 2021, has gradually replaced the OHSAS standard, by offering a single and clear framework to all organizations wishing to improve their OHS performance, while integrating other aspects such as well-being and quality of life at work.
