Barack Obama wants to bring his book "A Promised Land" about his US presidency closer to the younger generation in an Instagram series.
Barack Obama (59) now has his own series. Together with the production company ATTN (Attention), the former US President is presenting a five-part video series, as the studio and Obama himself announced on Friday (December 12) on Instagram. He will review the most important moments from the first years of his US presidency. According to Obama, these are closely related to the stations he described in his book "A Promised Land" published in November.
"Over the next few weeks, I'll be reporting more on some of the moments in my book from the early years of my presidency. I will begin our work to get the Recovery Act passed and the country out of an economic crisis," said the 59 year old to the first short video in the series.
ATTN co-founder Matthew Segal said in a statement that the series, which will be broadcast over the next two weeks, should primarily appeal to the younger generation. Short videos on Instagram Reels are intended to accompany the series and draw young users' attention to the new format.
