A new product recall was published on the government site RappelConso this Tuesday, November 21, 2023. It concerns cereals, and more precisely organic muesli… which could contain small pieces of metal.
There are quite a few product recalls at the moment. After the ham recalled due to salmonella and the minced steaks which could potentially contain allergens, it is now cereals which are the subject of an alert. This Tuesday, November 21, 2023, the government website ReminderConso which monitors the health of products, calls for vigilance if you have recently purchased or consumed muesli from organic farming.
We learn that the product behind today’s recall is a muesli sold in bulk under the name of Organic cocoa crispy muesli. However, we note that the product could not bear a brand or be labeled “Biothentic” depending on the place of purchase but that the expiry date is March 8, 2024.

This lot was sold in stores throughout France belonging to the following brands: Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Cora, Match, Migros, Leclerc, Intermarché, U and Chronodrive brands. Enough to suggest that a very large number of people could have purchased this product, knowing in addition that muesli constitutes one of the favorite components of the French breakfast, in particular because it is healthy, filling and offers a great contribution in fiber in the morning.
If this muesli in question is subject to a recall, This is because it is suspected of containing metallic foreign bodies. Indeed, small metal particles could be dispersed between the seeds. If ingested by the human body, they could cause injuries or other inconveniences within the body.
