He apologizes for forged signature

Musician Bob Dylan has apologized for the fact that a machine signed books he allegedly hand-signed.
US musician Bob Dylan (81) visited his fans last weekend in a Facebook post apologized for the irritation surrounding his signatures sold as autographed but machine-generated. “To my fans and followers, it has been brought to my attention that there is some controversy over signatures on some of my recent artwork and on a limited edition ‘Philosophy Of Modern Song’,” he began his post. He has hand-signed every single art print over the years and there has never been a problem. “However, in 2019 I had a bad case of vertigo that continued into the pandemic years,” Dylan explained.
It takes a team of five to work closely with him to make the book signings possible, “and we couldn’t find a safe and viable way to do it while the virus was raging,” Dylan wrote about the difficult conditions in the Corona Pandemic.
“So it was impossible to sign anything. With contractual deadlines looming, the idea of using a signing machine was suggested to me, along with assurances that something like this would be done ‘constantly’ in the art and literary world.” Using a machine was a mistake “that I want to correct immediately,” Dylan said. “For this I work together with Simon & Schuster and my gallery partners.”
Buyers noted similarities
The publishing house Simon & Schuster had previously decided in a social media post apologized and promised “an immediate refund” to Dylan book buyers. According to “Variety” A limited copy of the new book “The Philosophy of Modern Song” cost around 600 dollars. 900 pieces are said to have been sold. A letter was enclosed with the books, assuring the authenticity of the signature. However, buyers had noticed suspicious similarities between the signatures and already suspected that a signing machine was behind it.
