Braid, Anniversary Edition postponed, but Jonathan Blow is generous

Iconic title of the independent video game scene, Braid will soon be back in a Anniversary Edition which will improve the graphics and audio, but above all will add more than 15 hours of commentary from Jonathan Blow and new additional levels.

Initially reluctant to create new levels, Jonathan Blow was motivated to design a handful… then 35, as he announced last month. But in a press release, the independent developer announces that Braid, Anniversary Edition will ultimately include 40 new levels ! Players will be able to discover 14 commentary index levels (15 on iOS and Android) with 15 hours of commentary, 12 alternative design levels with explanatory commentary and 13 complete new levels, with 16 puzzle pieces to unlock to discover a new painting.

The content of this anniversary edition will be generous, but to properly refine it all, Jonathan Blow needs a little more time. Yes, Braid, Anniversary Edition is pushed back by two weeks, its release date is now set for May 15, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android (via Netflix) then it will arrive on May 16 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
