The nominations for the Brit Awards 2024 are here. After more than ten years, The Rolling Stones have another chance at the prize.

Will the Rolling Stones finally manage to take home one of the coveted Brit Awards in 2024? Mick Jagger (80), Keith Richards (8) and Ron “Ronnie” Wood (76) are back after more than ten years nominated for the prestigious British pop music award – this time in the “Alternative/Rock Act” category.

If The Rolling Stones win, it would be their first Brit Award. They were last nominated for “Best British Live Act” in 2013. The trio celebrated great success last year with their 24th studio album “Hackney Diamonds”. In Germany it was named album of the year 2023. It is the first record with new songs by the Rolling Stones since “A Bigger Bang”, which was released around 18 years ago.

At the Brit Awards this year, the rock legends will face direct competition from Blur, Bring Me The Horizon, Young Fathers and Yussef Dayes, who were also recognized in the “Alternative/Rock Act” category.

Raye, Olivia Rodrigo and Dua Lipa received multiple nominations

With a total of seven nominations, singer Raye (26) has the most chances of winning the coveted trophy this year. Olivia Rodrigo (20) could win five times. Dua Lipa (28) is nominated in the three categories “Artist of the Year”, “Pop Act” and “Song of the Year”. In the latter category, Raye and Dua Lipa compete with, among others, Ed Sheeran (32), Calvin Harris (40), Ellie Goulding (37) and Lewis Capaldi (27).

Award ceremony on March 2nd in London

In the “International Artist of the Year” category, Kylie Minogue (55), Lana Del Rey (38), Miley Cyrus (31) and Taylor Swift (34) also have a chance of winning a Brit Award.

The 44th edition of the Brit Awards will take place on March 2nd at London’s O2 Arena. Rumor has it that Kylie Minogue could be on stage this year. Dua Lipa is the first officially confirmed live act so far.
