Britney Spears got engaged to Sam Asghari and is apparently planning a prenuptial agreement. Your father should not be able to influence this.

Britney Spears (39) is fighting to end her guardianship in court. Her father Jamie Spears (69) has been managing the singer’s finances since 2008. Now the 39-year-old apparently has another reason to take action: the planned marriage contract with her fiancé Sam Asghari (27). Spears and Asghari announced their engagement in mid-September.

“Page Six” reports citing court documents, the singer is currently looking for a family law attorney. This should work out a marriage contract. Your representative in the guardianship process, Mathew Rosengart, explained in the papers, according to the celebrity page of the “New York Post”: A prenuptial agreement normally requires communication with the guardian.

Britney’s relationship with her father was “broken”. As such, Jamie Spears ‘involvement would hamper the ability to negotiate a contract “which everyone agrees is in Ms. Spears’ best interests”. The guardianship of Jamie Spears should therefore be “suspended” at the next court hearing on September 29th.

When does guardianship end?

According to US media reports, Jamie Spears filed an application with a court in Los Angeles in early September. In it he speaks out in favor of ending guardianship. In the document, Spears stated that his daughter’s circumstances “have changed to such an extent that there may no longer be grounds for maintaining guardianship.”

The singer had previously stated in court that her finances, career, personal life and even decisions about other children are controlled by the guardianship.
