Called the police himself – drug addict stabbed opponents in the back

In Linz, a drug addict attacked another with a butterfly knife. After the crime, the 20-year-old himself called the police. His injured opponent was taken to the accident hospital.

Wild scenes took place late Saturday evening in Upper Austria’s capital: a 20-year-old from Linz stabbed a 27-year-old Russian citizen in the back. He used a butterfly knife to do this. The young man then called the police himself and confessed to the security forces the crime he had committed around 10 p.m. on Wiener Strasse. Self-defence? The police secured the knife and arrested the 20-year-old. He was taken to the police detention center in Linz, but moved to the prison on Christmas Day by order of the public prosecutor’s office. The suspect referred to a self-defense situation. His opponent was taken to the accident hospital by the Arbeiter Samaritanbund. Both men are drug users.
