Style icon Cher is still young at 75. The singer keeps fit with sports, as she reveals in an interview.

The singer Cher has retained her youth even at the age of 75. In an interview with “Welt am Sonntag”, the style icon revealed how she keeps fit. “Meditation and exercise are my daily routine,” says the American. She was “used to get up early, walk around and sing”. This cost Cher “a lot of energy”. In addition, she does “lots of workouts, weights, yoga, power plate, dancing, walking on the beach, hiking.” She also loves her own fitness CD, which she uses to train “abs, step, dance and stuff like that.”

Cher ‘doesn’t have that much confidence’

So Cher doesn’t seem to get bored with her fitness routine. “It’s interesting that in a way nothing has changed over the years. Your body responds to the same things,” she continues. Her mother Georgia Holt (95) is also young at heart and could easily pass as Cher’s sister. “She’s still fabulous,” Cher says of her mother. The singer inherited “good genes” and was “quite sure”. Aging is “crappy” for the style icon, but Mama Georgia is her “inspiration”.

Cher is known for her confident personality, but she doesn’t see herself that way. “I don’t really have that much self-confidence,” she admits in an interview. She is extremely successful and is still considered a style and fashion icon today. In 1988, for example, she received the Oscar for best leading actress for the film “Moonstruck” and in 2000 she won a Grammy for her world hit “Believe”. She has also been honored with several Golden Globes.
