Briton lands new role in "Riverdale"

Chris Mason is part of the cast of the mystery series "Riverdale" from season five. The Briton takes on the role of Wall Street stockbroker.
British actor Chris Mason (29, "Broadchurch") will play Wall Street broker Chad Gekko from the fifth season of "Riverdale". This was first reported by the US industry service "Deadline". Mason has now confirmed his new engagement on Instagram and Twitter. "My character is such a dear," he quipped in his Instagram post and tweeted: "Chad is a really nice guy … honestly." With this, the actor indicates that his role will shake up the "Riverdale" world.
Mason, who is best known for his roles in the series "Broadchurch", "Dirty John" and "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists", plays the jealous husband of Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), who stands out thanks to Veronica's friendship Archie (KJ Apa) feels threatened. Mason will first appear in the fourth episode of season five. As a result there will be a leap in time of seven years. The fifth season of "Riverdale" starts on January 21st in this country on Netflix.
