Tom Beck’s marriage proposal was ‘funny’

Four years ago, Chryssanthi Kavazi and Tom Beck said yes. The actor had previously proposed to his loved one in Thailand. Anyone who now believes that it was fairytale romantic, teaches the GZSZ actress better.
“We met on the first weekend when I moved to Cologne to start acting school,” says Chryssanthi Kavazi, 33, in an interview with presenter Annika Lau, 43, for a new episode of GALA. About three years later, Tom Beck, 44, proposed to his beloved, which the actress had been looking forward to during their entire vacation in Thailand. But then it went very differently than Chryssanthi had imagined…
Chryssanthi Kavazi: “I had a very funny marriage proposal”
When asked by Annika Lau what her marriage proposal was like, the 33-year-old replies simply: “Funny. I had a very funny marriage proposal. We’re not that good at romance.” Annika can hardly believe it and asks again. “It was in Thailand. I’ve been hoping to get a marriage proposal all vacation, but there were always very uncomfortable situations,” reveals the GZSZ actress in an interview.
Then one night she was sure it would happen. “There was quite a pavilion set up and then we went there and I’m already looking and thinking ‘Now!’ Throw your hair back,” she recalls. Then Tom also joked: “I’ve built something nice for you here.” When Chryssanthi was already certain that it would happen, he resolved that he was only joking.

His loved one was probably not ready for that: “I’m like, ‘What?!’ Fall, tear my foot open, and I was shattered.” But it happened that same evening. “That evening I got my marriage proposal in the bathtub – with a beer bottle in my hand,” says Chryssanthi. “He said he was so sorry he didn’t want to wait another day. But he planned to do it all along and always had a ring with him.”
Fortunately, the chaotic proposal did not harm your love. In August 2018, the two celebrated their wedding. In November 2019, their son crowned their happiness in love.
