John Leguizamo recalls that directors Morton and Jankel fought to have him in the cast of Super Mario Bros.he who is of Latin origin and who is also the hero of the film. He thus points the finger at the fact that the producers preferred to choose Charlie Day (Luigi) or Chris Pratt (mario) to a colored actor to dub the characters in this animated film. Even though skin color has nothing to do with the story, Chris Pratt was already made fun of for his too flat voice tone in the first trailer for Super Mario Bros The Movie. The actor of Parks and Recreation and Jurassic World will share the poster with Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black or even Seth Rogen, while Charles Martinet should make at least one cameo.
