On Wednesday around 11:50 p.m., a patrol in the area of ​​the Leonding Gaumberg tram stop became aware of two young men who were following a man at a short distance from the stop towards the underpass on Gaumbergstrasse. Due to the unusual behavior of the two, the police immediately gave chase. Officers immediately jumped out of the car. When the two perpetrators then attacked the pedestrian, a 52-year-old from Linz, in the area of ​​the underpass, the officers immediately jumped out of the civilian car and took them both attackers. Those arrested are a 17-year-old Iraqi citizen from the Urfahr-Raum district and an 18-year-old Kosovar citizen from the Linz-Land district.
