Cord braid: this is how you style the rope braid

Are you looking for an extraordinary hairstyle that neither requires a complicated braiding technique nor takes hours? Then you are spot on with the cord braid! You can find out how to style the hairstyle here!

Elegant and with a twist – the cord braid is something completely different and even highlights thin hair in a targeted manner! The braid can also be styled in many ways and adapted for every occasion: whether as a ponytail, on the side or as a single strand with loose hair – the hairstyle is a feast for the eyes!

Cord braid: explained step by step

1. Comb your hair thoroughly. This will prevent annoying nodules from creeping in while you are hairdressing.

2. Strictly comb the hair back and gather it in a ponytail.

3. Cut your hair in half in the middle. Then twist both strands of hair to the right. The hair should cross over and not be twisted!

4. Then the strands of hair are intertwined to the left. This corresponds to the same principle as when making a cord. Secure the cord with a hair tie. Danger: If you cross the strands of hair in the direction in which you twisted them beforehand, the braid will not hold and the cord will loosen again – so always turn in the opposite direction!

5. At the end, pull the twisted hair apart a little with your fingers – this gives volume to the cord.

Side drawstring: Here's how

1. Comb hair well. If you only want a cord on one side, make a side parting – otherwise, a center part.

2. For a side parting, choose the side opposite the parting for the cord braid.

3. Take two thin strands of the hairline and cross them over.

4. Now add a thin strand of hair from the top hair and the hairline to the side of the existing strands and cross them again. This technique is reminiscent of the French braid.

5. After each twist, pick up two thin strands of the sides into the main strands and twist them into each other. You continue the technique until you have reached the desired point.

6. On the side or at the back of the head you can either fix the cord with bobby pins or a hair tie or you can bring it together with another cord.

Two side cord braids are gathered and fastened at the back of the head. Once you have finished the first one, fix it with a hair clip for the time being and add the other one later.

An eye-catcher as a sports hairstyle! And the hair is reliably held together!
