Corona current: 7 everyday things that we should especially clean now

Already done the spring cleaning? Especially in quarantine, some take the time to get their house or apartment back in shape. The windows are cleaned, the oven is thoroughly cleaned and all joints and corners are cleaned of dust. But what about everyday objects? Because these are often neglected, although they could be real virus and bacterial traps due to constant use.

7 everyday things that we should especially clean now

  1. Remote control: How many times have you held them in the past few days? How many times have you cleaned them? Probably far too rarely. It is better to wash off regularly with a disinfectant cleaning cloth.
  2. Bras: Not only in the underpants, but also in the bra all kinds of germs and smells accumulate. A change of bra every three to seven days is usually sufficient, provided you don't sweat a lot. But due to the corona situation, we should now throw the bra into the laundry much more often.
  3. Make-up brush: After all, we run it over our faces every day. That is why brushes and sponges should be washed out regularly with baby shampoo, for example.
  4. Purse: If the handbag is not cleaned, many germs can accumulate here. And while we're at it, we can get rid of crumpled receipts and chewing gum that has fallen out.
  5. Door handle, window handle, light switch: Although you wash your hands regularly, bacteria and germs collect on them. Therefore: Regularly wipe the handles, handles and switches with a soft cloth and all-purpose cleaner.
  6. Laptop and smartphone: We use our cell phone all day. Therefore very important here too: Wipe the devices with a slightly damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. However, you should always switch off your computer, laptop and cell phone before cleaning.
  7. Contact lenses: Especially during the corona pandemic, it is particularly important to clean contact lenses properly and to make sure that your hands are clean again. Above all, after cleaning the first contact lens according to the instructions, you should wash your hands again before cleaning the second lens. And don't forget the container!

By the way: As viruses whose genetic material is encased in a fat layer (lipid layer), coronaviruses are generally sensitive to fat-dissolving substances.
