DUBLIN, Dec. 17 (Reuters) – Restaurants and bars will close at 8 p.m. in Ireland from Sunday, Prime Minister Micheal Martin announced on Friday, unveiling new measures intended to limit the surge in cases of contamination due in particular to the variant Omicron from the coronavirus.
Presenting the measures adopted by Parliament despite a sling within the government coalition, Micheal Martin also announced a 50% gauge for indoor or outdoor gatherings, and called on his compatriots to limit their social interactions as much as possible.
