Countess Sophie + Prince Edward: This is your Christmas card

Countess Sophie von Wessex and her husband Prince Edward are already in the holiday mood: they have already sent a Christmas card that has now been shared on social media.

It’s already very Christmas – even with the Royals! Prince Edward, 57, and his wife Countess Sophie, 56, have already made some people happy with their Christmas card. This has now been published on Twitter and shows a loving moment between the parents of Lady Louise Windsor, 18, and James Alexander, 14.

Prince Edward + Countess Sophie: your Christmas card 2021

When Prince Edward and Countess Sophie visited Forfar Golf Club in Scotland in June 2021, numerous pictures were of course taken. The royal couple had a lot of fun during the visit and planted a tree together on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the club. You have now chosen a snapshot of this date for your Christmas card.

One person in particular is particularly happy about the royal Christmas mail: Tim Rooke, the photographer of the picture. He expresses his delight via Twitter. He posts the Christmas card and writes: “I am delighted that the Count and Countess of Wessex have chosen my picture for their Christmas card this year, which was taken during a visit to Forfar Golf Club.”

The royal post has apparently already found its place in the photographer’s Christmas tree. In the picture, Prince Edward is wearing a chic tweed kilt and matching petrol-colored socks, a delicate purple shirt and a light brown jacket. Sophie enchants with a long dress with a floral pattern and combines this with a dark blue blazer. Both beam happily into the camera.

As for the text of the card, Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son, 95, and his wife kept it classic. The inside reads: “We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.” Both signed by hand underneath.
