The secret to the success of this recipe imagined by the culinary content creator nicknamed Mariefoodtips on social networks? A sauce bursting with flavor and juicy chicken. The list of ingredients for 2 people:

  • 2 tablespoons Italian blend spices
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 3 small cloves of garlic, pressed
  • 1 small onion
  • 80 ml dry white wine
  • ½ lemon
  • 35 g of dried tomatoes
  • 1 pinch of Espelette pepper
  • 40 cl of liquid cream
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 50 g freshly grated parmesan
  • 400g gnocchi
  • 6 fresh basil leaves

The steps of the recipe:

  1. Start by mixing the Italian spices with the olive oil. Pour this marinade over the chicken fillets and massage them with your hands.
  2. Heat a large frying pan and, when hot, place the chicken fillets in it.
  3. Cook the chicken fillets on both sides then set them aside.
  4. Oil the same pan in which you cooked the chicken and brown the chopped garlic and onion for a few minutes. They need to be nicely browned.
  5. Deglaze everything with white wine, then add the lemon juice, chopped dried tomatoes, the rest of the Italian mixture, Espelette pepper, liquid cream, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme and Freshly grated Parmesan. Stir well then, simmer over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Add 30 cl of water as well as the gnocchi and cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. To serve, first serve the gnocchi and sauce on plates then place the previously cut chicken fillets on top. Sprinkle with fresh basil and it’s ready.
