CS:GO champion FalleN slammed after donating money to politician

It is not uncommon to see great esport champions make donations to associations or charities, but it is less common to see players posting political or diplomatic engagements, like s1mple with the Ukrainian army recently. For his part, the famous Brazilian CS:Go competitor, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo has publicly announced his support for 26-year-old Sao Paulo MP Kim Kataguiri. The latter also thanked him on the networks. Which allowed FalleN to say all the good things he thought of the politician:

I’m not very involved and know little but I like what I find about you and I’ve been following your work for a few years, good luck Kim, I hope you continue to do a good job and that this impression is genuine for still.

If the form of this support has not been revealed, the Dust2 website announced that the player had donated 1000 reals, the equivalent of 200 euros. But the action of the Imperial Esports AWPer did not go unnoticed and many followers came to comment and criticize this exchange of kindness on the networks. In question, the image of this deputy, considered populist and libertarian, and whose media release remains in the memory of the Internets.

In a podcast on Youtube, Kim Kataguiri (who considers himself a gamer and an otaku) had claimed that “Germany had made a mistake by criminalizing the Nazi party”, which had led to an investigation by the Brazilian prosecutor’s office for apology for Nazism. Three years ago, FalleN had already called on Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to ask him to reduce taxation on video games in his country. Future conversion found after esports?
