Damon Motorcycles unveiled a 100% electric motorcycle with impressive performance at CES 2022. Ultra powerful, it can reach a top speed of over 270 km / h.
HyperFighter Colossus… Here is the very aggressive name of the new motorcycle shown by Damon Motorcycles on the occasion of CES 2022. Thanks to an article published by Electrek on January 6, we discover its dizzying performance. With a power of 200 horsepower (150 kW electric motor), the machine will be able to reach a top speed of 274 km / h and accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in three seconds. With a 20 kWh battery, the range will increase to 235 kilometers on a single charge.
Damon Motorcyles intends to market two other motorcycles in this new HyperFighter range, thanks to a development platform flexible enough to give birth to several different vehicles (a philosophy found in many manufacturers, including cars). For the Canadian company, the goal will be to lower the floor price. While the HyperFighter Colossus is priced at $ 35,000 (around € 31,000), other motorcycles will sell for between $ 19,000 and $ 25,000 (€ 17,000 and € 22,000).
Damon Motors still has not delivered a single motorcycle
Jay Giraud, CEO of Damon Motorcyles, promises mountains and wonders with his electric motorcycles. According to him, the HyperFighter Colossus will revolutionize the category of streetfighters (fairingless motorcycles with a very sporty look, in line with their performance). Ambitious, it evokes revolutionary technologies, in the wake of CoPilot equipment which relies on sensors, radars and cameras to improve safety (which can be useful when driving at 270 km / h at discovered). The rider can also adjust the ergonomics of the HyperFighter Colossus as desired, such as the riding position.

Only problem? Damon Motorcyles has not delivered a single of its motorcycles to date when the startup was already presenting prototypes in 2019 and taking reservations for its HyperSport model (322 km / h top speed) for many months already. . The HyperFighter Colossus can also be pre-ordered, with a deposit of $ 250 (€ 220). For the moment, two-wheelers from Damon Motorcycles would therefore only be ultra promising and very expensive products. And everything suggests that it would have been wiser to start deliveries of the first model before proudly announcing a second.
