date, time and games of the conference with heavy!

The Summer Game Fest 2023 is coming to an end soon. The Ubisoft Forward will be the last big conference of this summer period. Here’s everything you need to know about it: date, times and expected games.

THE Summer GameFest 2023 is at its peak and after a Xbox Showcase bombastic based on Starfield, it’s time to move on to the Ubisoft Forward which could hit very hard with a ton of gameplay and announcements expected. This year the conference should be under the sign of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the next big piece of the French publisher on which he is betting a lot. But other big games and surprises will also be there. Date, time, how to watch the conference, what to expect? We’re doing a big recap.

Where and when to watch Ubisoft Forward 2023?

It’s almost the end. The summer season of big video game announcements is coming to an end soon. The biggest players in the industry communicated during a week full of new information and surprises. If the Summer Game Fest 2023 will continue for a few more weeks before continuing with Gamescom, there is still an important speech: the Ubisoft Forward 2023. A particularly awaited event at the turn, the French publisher having to reassure both players and investors on its portfolio after multiple postponements and games with absent subscribers (hello Skull & Bones and Beyond Good & Evil 2).

The Ubisoft Forward will therefore be held Monday June 12 at 7:00 p.m. with a 15-minute pre-show just before. Everything can be followed on Youtube or on the official Twitch account. As was the case last year, this second method will collect free rewards for some of the publisher’s most popular productions such as those to come, namely:

  • Free content for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora : watch 15 minutes
  • Twitch Drop for Riders Republic : watch 20 minutes
  • Free outfit for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla : watch 30 minutes
  • Content for Assassin’s Creed Mirage : watch 45 minutes

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the big expectation of Ubisoft Forward 2023

This will undoubtedly be the big star of this Ubisoft Forward 2023. Assassin’s Creed Mirage should finally present its gameplay as it should. The publisher gave fans a little cookie during the PlayStation Showcase by showing some excerpts. It was enough to increase the impatience of the most ardent fans, who are eager to discover more fully what Ubisoft Bordeaux has in store for them. It is all the more expected that it signs a return to basics, temporary, all in the middle of medieval Baghdad which is reminiscent of the adventures of this dear Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad during the Third Crusade.

The other game in the saga confirmed for this conference: Assassin’s Creed Nexus. Entirely in VR, this experience will allow you to play for the first time in FPS and to embody several assassins from different eras at the same time. Players will be able to find Kassandra (Odyssey), Connor (AC 3) and the mentor himself Ezio Aditore from Assassin’s Creed 2. Ubisoft having only confirmed its existence, we can expect to see the game in action and see a little of gameplay. The leap of faith in VR? It promises, but has the publisher thought of the most sensitive of virtual reality? He should bring some additional information during this conference. What about the other licensed games?

We know that several projects are under development. Starting with Assassin’s Creed Red, which will finally allow you to immerse yourself in the heart of Feudal Japan, but also Assassin’s Creed Hexewhich would take place during the time of the witch hunt in the XVIe century. It seems quite unlikely that they will show up during this Ubisoft Forward. On the other hand, the mobile game Assassin’s Creed Jade could make an appearance. Its gameplay having already leaked a few months ago, it is undoubtedly one of the games of the license to come with the most advanced development. Perhaps the series planned on Netflix could reassure on its progress, but nothing is less certain.

Avatar, The Crew Motorsport, the next releases in the spotlight?

The other big chunk of the Ubisoft Forward 2023 conference should definitely be Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The adaptation of James Cameron’s cinematic universe is undoubtedly one of the studio’s most ambitious games. Forget AAA games this one is advertised to be AAAA. Always further, the studio Massive Entertainment (The Division 2) has a very clear objective: to push back the technological limits with the engine Snowdrop Engine. For the occasion they even collaborated with the production company of James Cameron, Lightstorm. We should therefore finally see the game in action, hopefully with something other than a trailer and real gameplay. And why not finally a release date?

In the radius of release dates precisely, The Crew Motorfest should also take advantage of the Ubisoft Forward to reveal its own. Direction Hawaii, and more precisely on the island of Oahu, with this third episode awaited by fans of the genre. According to the first images, we are clearly in front of a project that draws a lot of inspiration from Forza Horizon. It remains to be seen whether Ubisoft will be able to pull out of the game and not suffer too much from the comparison. Other upcoming releases from the Ubisoft catalog: free-to-play The Division: Heartland (consoles and PC) and The Resurgence Division (mobile) should soon each offer a beta phase. XDefiant should also give its news, just like Rainbow Six Mobile, a tactical FPS for smartphones. We can also count on Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, one of the most beautiful surprises of the Summer Game Fest. Ubisoft is expected to showcase more of its 2.5D game inspired by the Metroidvania genre.

Star Wars, Beyond Good & Evil 2… any surprises at Ubisoft Forward?

This time, we enter the complete fog and the craziest speculations. We quote it every time and maybe this time it will be the right one. Beyond Good & Evil 2 will he give reassuring news? We know that the development is chaotic, to the point that the game is no longer part of Ubisoft’s immediate plans. In short, it does not smell very good and there is still little chance of seeing a piece of it during the Ubisoft Forward, but dreaming is always allowed. On the other hand, we have much more hope on the star wars game from Ubisoft Massive, still very secret. According to rumors, it should be an open world adventure game including interplanetary space travel without further details. It’s very vague and we don’t even know what the timeline of the title is. Maybe an answer tomorrow?

Long remained an open secret, it is now totally official: Splinter Cell Remake is on its way. We can hope for an appearance by the famous NSA agent. By the very admission of the French-speaking publisher, the game is intended to be a high-level remake. It would therefore be high time to get to the bottom of it with at least one teaser to put something in your mouth. And then there is the case of Skull & Bones. Delayed many times, the pirate game would be scheduled for December 2023. Will it manage to stay the course?. The Ubisoft Forward 2023 should be decisive as its absence would be a very negative signal sent to players. Yves Guillemot wants to be reassuring, saying that the latest internal tests were satisfactory.
