Dbrand turns a lousy pun into a stroke of genius

The accessories brand Dbrand definitely knows how to get people talking. The company is surfing on the Nothing wave and is launching skin coverings and shells for smartphones inspired (largely) by the aesthetics of the phone (1). Although they are not intended for it, the brand responds with them to the calls of tech fans who would like to see this design on their smartphone.

You may be part of this category of people who would not want to change their smartphone immediately, but who nevertheless appreciate the effort made by Nothing in the design of its first born, the phone (1). What if you could still offer this look to your smartphone?

Dbrand makes “something” out of “nothing”

After an intense period of teasing and speculation of all kinds, the Nothing phone (1) is finally in the hands of the public. And it seems that Dbrand (a company offering skin coverings and accessories for smartphones and consoles) has found a fun alternative to take advantage of the hype surrounding the release of the smartphone, failing to be able to offer something to cover its transparent back.

The company now offers a series of rather unique skins and shells titled friendly “Something” (antonym of Nothing) at the same time as the launch of the smartphone. These resume in appearance the contrasting and textured look of the phone (1) and now allow you to apply this style to a selection of smartphones that are still limited for the moment.

An assumed “plagiarism”

Dbrand is known for its somewhat sarcastic marketing across the Atlantic. The company had already been able to show its irreverent tone by responding vigorously in the past to Sony with a ” Go ahead, sue us. when she was threatened with legal threats for offering replacement black plates for PS5.

It is therefore not surprising that the company offers this type of product. Dbrand skins usually contain smalleaster eggsfun, for example here GPS coordinates pointing to the ghost town of Nothing in Arizona.

This series of accessories is currently available in limited quantities and will be offered first for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Pixel 6 Pro and Galaxy S22 Ultra. You can even buy a Something skin for your MagSafe wireless charger if you feel like it.

Dbrand also plans to release an edition for the Nintendo Switch and says other devices will follow based on requests.
