Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has announced she is pregnant with her first child, seven months after marrying soap producer Kate Brooks.
The 44 year old actress, who plays Vanessa Woodfield on the soap, shared a photo on Instagram of her clutching her stomach while stood next to wife Kate who is holding their pet dog Fred.
Michelle is wearing a leopard print top and Kate is wearing a light blue denim shirt while grinning widely and pointing at her wife.
Meanwhile, Kate is holding their pet dog Fred who is looking straight into the camera.
Above the image Kate has written: “Fred’s big brother duties commence in October #BabyBrooks,” followed by a red heart emoji.
As she shared the happy news with her 103,000 Instagram followers she posted a red heart emoji in the caption followed by #BabyBrooks.

The soap star, who married Kate in a ceremony in Tennessee in September last year, and her wife were flooded with messages of congratulations in the comments section of the post.
One wrote: “Ah lovely news congratulations to you both,” followed by pink heart emojis.
Another gushed: “Aww!! Congratulations to you all! SO happy for you!”
While a third wrote: “AMAZING NEWS,” followed by three purple heart emojis.
Some of the couple’s celebrity friends also shared their congratulations.
Gemma Atkinson, who used to play Carly Hope in the soap, commented with: “SO happy for you all!”
And Blue singer Antony Costa replied with two smiley faces.
Just seven months before, the couple announced they had tied the knot with an Instagram photo, showing the couple posing outside a chapel.
The image shows the pair looking sensational in matching white with Michelle donning a flared jumpsuit with bell sleeves, while Kate rocks a stunning dress.
Both Kate and Michelle are wearing sunglasses and holding bouquets of flowers.
As Michelle posted the black-and-white image on her social media, she wrote: “In over 100 degrees heat, on Tuesday 10th September, I became Mrs Brooks. #graceland #chapelinthewoods #memphis #nextstopnashville.”
