Citroën presents an all-new concept 100% electric : Oli.

A new model like a roadmap for an optimistic and functional electric mobility, in order to improve the daily life of all in the near future “, according to Citroën.

A new concept car from Citroën

A few days ago, the Citroën manufacturer formalized a brand new logo, both modern and retro, supposed to mark the beginning of a new modern, unifying and exciting era. A new logo which will be present on all the brand’s vehicles by mid-2023, and which can already be found on a first concept car.

Indeed, Citroën has just presented a brand new concept car called Oli: an electric vehicle that aims to offer electric mobility that is accessible, responsible and versatile.

Citroën Oli, for “all-e”

With its new Oli electric concept, the French brand offers a small SUV that does not exceed 1000 kg, i.e. a light and compact vehicle. On board, we find
a 40 kWh battery for a target autonomy of up to 400 km, well helped by a speed limited to 110 km/h.

Wishing to offer a vehicle that is useful when it is being driven but also when it is not, Citroën explains that with its 3.6 kW power socket (the equivalent of a 230 V 16 A household socket ), Oli can theoretically power a 3000W electrical appliance for about 12 hours. So practical.

In terms of looks, this new Oli signed Citroën challenges with its very angular design, with an immediately identifiable cubic side. Some parts are very (very) horizontal, unlike the windshield which plays the card of verticality. The Oli gives pride of place to recycled corrugated cardboard and other alternative materials, for a contained weight.

The more observant will also notice an identical front and rear light signature. Oli is equipped with hybrid steel/aluminum wheels shod with Goodyear Eagle Go tires. To enter on board, there are antagonistic doors devoid of any central pillar.

The interior is adorned with an orange color, with a very refined dashboard, without any screen, the interface being replaced here by the smartphone to be inserted in a dedicated space.

A sustainable vehicle

According to the manufacturer, Oli embodies a real mobility mission: responsible, sustainable and affordable for everyday life. The vehicle does not display an overabundance of new technologies and moreover its side ” Vehicle To Load » to power an external electrical device and the use of recycled materials in its design reinforces this given mission.

In addition to the use of recycled corrugated cardboard, there is a very compact vertical windshield, reducing exposure to the sun, or even doors with pantograph openings and seats made of
100% recyclable lightweight thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Citroën also specifies that the modular floor covering in one piece, in expanded thermoplastic polyurethane, can be cleaned directly with a water jet (drain plugs are provided for this purpose) and easily replaced if necessary.

It’s the roadmap to developing the vehicle your family needs for the next ten years. », says Vincent Cobée, CEO of Citroën.
