- The Pischa mountain restaurant in the Davos ski area of the same name no longer rents snow sports equipment to Jewish guests.
- They had bad experiences, it says in a notice at the weekend.
- The Swiss Association of Israelite Communities has announced legal action, and the Graubünden cantonal police are now also investigating.
The restaurant at the Pischa mountain station no longer rents sledges, airboards and snowshoes to Jewish guests. They will be informed about this in a letter posted on site in Hebrew, as Zurich councilor Jehuda Spielman posted on X at the weekend.
The Swiss Association of Israelite Communities (SIG) confirmed the facts to Keystone-SDA. “We will take legal action or file a complaint after violating the racism criminal law,” said Secretary General Jonathan Kreutner.
On Sunday, the cantonal police were informed about the incident by a private person, media spokesman Roman Rüegg told SRF. Since this is an official offense, an investigation has been started. There is suspicion of discrimination and incitement to hatred.
