Disney +: Matt Murdock (Daredevil) could make a comeback in the She-Hulk series

Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, was played by Charlie Cox in the Netflix series. The actor could well reprise his role in a highly anticipated Disney + series: She-Hulk. Not surprisingly, given that Marvel / Netflix characters are already talking about them in this field.

Charlie Cox played Daredevil in the eponymous Netflix series. Matt Murdock (real name) was entitled to three seasons as well as a spin-off (The Defenders). While the Netflix / Marvel series were definitely discontinued in 2019, the fate of the characters was in abeyance … until the end of 2021.

Indeed, it could well be that Matt Murdock is making his comeback in a Disney + series, namely She-Hulk. That would make sense, given that the show’s heroine, Jennifer Walters, is a lawyer in New York… just like Matt Murdock.

Kevin Feige, the big boss of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even teased the thing … in December 2020 during a meeting dedicated to investors:

“The series is about a woman who tries to make her way in the world, who tries to be taken seriously in the professional world, despite her height of 2.05 meters and her color green. Jennifer Walters is a lawyer specializing in superhero cases and you will never know which other Marvel character is going to appear from episode to episode ”.

A quote which may seem trivial at the time, but which makes perfect sense today.

Daredevil back in the MCU

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers about Spider-Man No Way Home as well as Hawkeye.

The inclusion of characters from the Marvel / Netflix series in the MCU is now complete. Matt Murdock does indeed appear in a scene from the latest Spider-Man movie, still in the guise of Charlie Cox. A cameo that delighted fans, even if it was short.

Plus, his lifelong nemesis made a crashing entry in the latest episode of Hawkeye: this is the Caïd (Vincent D’Onofrio). Even though the villain is left for dead at the end of the series, there is nothing to say that one of these days he will not return to face his old nemesis.

A return long awaited by fans, therefore, but not by Matt Murdock. According to Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Cox knew “for years” that he would end up resuming the costume. The She / Hulk series is therefore logically the next step for its “real” return in the MCU, that is to say as a protagonist and no longer as a simple cameo.
