Doubs Two women imprisoned after the mysterious disappearance of a Serb, probably killed

This is still a nebulous matter. On December 26, a Serb domiciled in Germany mysteriously disappeared in Besançon (in the Doubs). Two Serbian women have been imprisoned as part of a murder investigation following this disappearance, report our colleagues from The Republican East.

According to relatives who reported his disappearance, the man had left his home across the Rhine on December 22 to buy a vehicle in the Franche-Comté city, said during a press briefing the public prosecutor of Besançon Etienne Manteaux . The man was then in possession of “a sum of money”, he added, without however specifying the amount. He had made the trip with his own car, found by the police in Besançon in the sensitive district of Planoise.

Traces of blood in the trunk

Traces of the missing person’s blood were discovered “in significant quantity” in the trunk, a “strong clue suggesting” “intentional homicide”, continued the magistrate, according to whom the investigation was entrusted to the PJ of Besançon , under rogatory commission of an examining magistrate.

An arrest warrant was issued against a Serb, “residing for a few days in Planoise” and “with whom the victim had made contact for the transaction”, continued Etienne Manteaux, according to whom this suspect is in leak since December 26. On the other hand, two women, also of Serbian origin and aged 25 and 58, were in contact with this fugitive and “are suspected of having cleaned the apartment” which he occupied, indicated the magistrate.

The disappeared probably dead

On Friday, the youngest was indicted for “modifying a crime scene” and “non-denunciation of a crime”, while the oldest was for “non-denunciation of a crime”, detailed Etienne Manteaux. They were incarcerated.

According to the investigation, “they have and know the decisive elements for understanding the events, but they have kept silent”, explained the prosecutor, according to whom “there is strong reason to fear” that the missing person is “dead”.
