Sad news from the Innsbruck clinic: The 81-year-old who was hit on Saturday in the Tyrolean capital by a tent that had overturned due to the strong foehn has succumbed to his serious injuries.
The pensioner died in the clinic on Monday night, the police reported in the morning.
The fatal incident happened on Saturday. During an event, the tent set up for this purpose was raised by gusts of wind and various objects whirled through the air.
Hit the head by a tent
“When the tent came off the ground and fell over, the volunteer at the event was hit in the head and fell seriously injured,” the police said at the time. The 81-year-old was admitted to the clinic with life-threatening injuries.
